Finetec Pearlescent Mica Watercolors Review & Swatching
I had so much fun reviewing and swatching these watercolor. They were so much fun, gorgeous colors and the pearlescent mica really shines! These watercolors are made in Germany and super fun to use in traditional watercolor painting or calligraphy.
* The Finetec Fine Gold or "Real Gold" appears to contain higher pigment and mica over more metallic particles as in other colors, but I could not confirm "real gold" in its contents.

    Social media never worked from the start nobody really cares what you post even us who used it casually all people wanted to do was nosy lol so many years of wasted time just because most people won't get off their phones and computers. It made you feel you really had to get on board because everyone else was on it and that you could only get social interaction that way now but it's in no way socializing or interacting it's soulless. People are leaving in droves over the past few years and i hope all the other social media sites are gone in the next few years we don't actually care about them and all it does is bring you trouble.

    i'm a lo fi musician. I just quit facebook for the 8th time. It's a time sucker, and i never could get it going. I just have a music channel, a blog channel, and an indie music channel. For extra stuff, the community tab is great. I can edit my post, and no one has to leave my channel. I used think that i had to have facebook. This video has validated my feelings. Facebook didn't feel right. I have an X account, but i just post and ghost. Great video.

    Yes creating your content. Not creating content on behalf of the social media companies. You posting 10 times a day gives them more relevance than it does for you. We are a RPG Podcast group on here. I just post our latest release to X and leave. So one post a week. Social Media is a rabbit hole with no end if you go down it

    my least favorite thing to look at are those short vids of just the person -pointing to thing with trendy music I don't know why but it's my least favorite thing lol. I quit instagram about 5 years ago because it wasn't paying me to use all their features, it's so stressful, and from what I hear, it's only gotten more so. And now with AI flooding everywhere I just don't find it to be a viable option.

    Hello. I heard it all from advertising to marketing too. I never followed any of those rules. I just created things then let them sit there. Either they saw it, or not. I'm more into reading articles, or watching videos. I do like posting comments, and through out the years my profiles have been left behind. They include links of my work, and websites. I've always felt that a profile is like a business card. Fill it well.

    You’re using a pencil sharpener with a very skinny long point result. Maybe try a colored pencil sharpener that makes a shallower shorter point that would give the tip a bit more strength and sharpen away less material. 🌸

    Thank you for this! Ironically, the 140# was the first paper I had ever tried because it was given to me by a retired artist. I was then encouraged to try arches 300# by my watercolor teacher, as she loves it and uses it exclusively. It was weird and I honestly thought there was something wrong with me because I just didn’t like it as much. Interestingly I spoke with a tech at Blick Arts and asked him why arches was considered better and he said that a)he also prefers Saunders😂 and b) arches does have a “harder” surface, which keeps the water resting on top of the paper longer. He also said that arches hot press is smoother than Saunders and the cold press is actually a bit rougher than Saunders.

    I wonder if they could make a warm white mix, because I recently used a titanium white gouache on their Joseph Z Aarm gray and it looked so blue, I tried to lift it all out. I think the buff would be too gray, but something in between might do.

    I've been looking for a video like this for a while. I'm a DIY musician- I don't have a personal instagram anymore and my band members have an instagram account and I don't manage it- I help with other things generally. I feel better at shows and have way less anxiety performing than when I had a personal page. Unfortunately its hard to become established within a music scene anywhere without having some social media presence. Music has become such a digital situation, but I have faith more balanced approaches and technologies are going to come upon us as a response to the hyper digitized art world in general currently. This vid was a breath of fresh air, thanks

    UA-cam is also not really the answer. It relies on video structure which is great for animations, short films, and how-to videos, but no longevity for visual arts which is an image based form. A lot of art youtubers get stuck being teachers and not really known for their creations. I'm not sure what the solution is, but unless there is one, I don't think social media is going to last long for anyone, let alone creatives. Everyone is getting tired of it and its negative affects.

    • @lacamina
      @lacamina 4 місяці тому

      Absolutely. I'm in a similar phase right now. I went private on Instagram and have not posted in a year. Never got over 200 followers anyway but I knew that those who followed were genuinely interested. But the engagement went already down prior to AI as Instagram was pushing Reels, Reels, Reels and didn't show my art to my followers. When AI came around, it was just the nail in the coffin bc I don't have the energy to think about ways to protect my work. (There is no satisfying and safe way anyway ATM, besides not posting.) But I'm struggling to delete Instagram completely because I've not found another platform to connect with other artists and follow their work. All I want is geeking out with other people about art. But since internet forums are also a dead technology, it's been pretty silent on the internet for me. (Well, I'm also struggling with things like Discord because it's also too fast paced for me ... Wonder how artists connected before the internet.)

    I don't even know how to draw à stickman but I'll share my opinion haha. For me, if you want to build à career on your craft, the best option is à website. Because it's the most indepedent medium and isn't diriged by an algorithm and à private society. And if you want to share the creative process, use YT to link the video in your Website.

    • @blkkh9517
      @blkkh9517 4 місяці тому

      As a content consumer, I'll only use YT or go on website because IG is too boring now and it's like the McDo of artistic content because of the obligation to post every day. Tiktok isn't my thing. I can't manage to keep up on this app, I feel overwhelmed.

      @@AuniaKahn Of course. But we are aware that we do not publish for social networks but that if we use them, it is to generate traffic on the site. It can be healthier for the production of an artist ? And maybe remove a pressure. Also, there is on the social network the aspect of continuous free access to feed the algorithm. I really think that artists should rehabilitate people to pay and take back the hand on where they share their work. A website can be à good gatekeeper in my opinion because even if it flops, it's because of you and you'll find the will to reverse the situation. On Insta and Tiktok, if you flop it's because an indirect cause like shadow-ban, etc... I can’t develop my point any further (and it's already a lot of english words for my French-ass) because I lack reflexion on the subject and I'm not invested in those questions as an artist. But I hope you understand what I meant.

      They're still relevant and still works i don't know why people moved away from them but there's so many things people did in the early 2000 that worked, and so many techniques done in the 90s and before that works like people need to relearn all of that and go back to doing it. I remember all the awesome sites celebrities used to have i loved looking at them and now only bands have them but they're boring and driven towards merchandise they used to have cool things and photos to look at and a page for magazine interviews with a colourful design. That's all that's really needed because people know who you are other ways a little intimate interaction through posting the photos and interviews then caring about how their site looked, that made fans feel special with such little effort it was all that was needed. The vibe and intimate setting made all the difference and there didn't need to be any more effort put into it and not frequent posting either, just these special posts and updates for their fans to enjoy and look forward to every few months it was great big effect with such little effort😊Before they did that with magazines and it was great. So what social media have been doing making people think they need to frequently post to be seen it's all wrong and that's how you just make people sick of you lol it's overkill and doesn't give us anything to look forward to. If you want to connect when you upload videos you can add a box to the home page that is connected to your channel and it will automatically update whenever you upload making it effortless. They did a similar thing with concert dates so i don't know why they started spending more time editing it manually instead.
